Smoothie Making 101

  • Healthy Eating
  • Meal Planning

There are thousands of different combinations you can make to come up with the perfect smoothie. These drinks are a great choice when you're on the go, bored with your old breakfast and snack ideas, or just want to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Smoothies

Follow these steps to build the perfect smoothie.

1. Choose a base.

Consistency is key when making a smoothie. You don't want it too runny, but you don't want to have to use a spoon to eat it either. Excellent bases include...

  • ½ - 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt

2. Pick your favorite fruits/vegetables.

Some people prefer fruit smoothies, some vegetable, and others like a combination of the two. Here are some of our favorites to include in delicious smoothies:

  • Berry medley: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • Tropical fruits: pineapple, mango, papaya
  • Classic fruits: apple, pear, peach
  • Best veggies: spinach, kale, carrot, cucumber, pumpkin

3. Add a liquid.

This may not be necessary if the fruits/vegetables you use are really juicy. If you do add a liquid, be sure to add just a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Almond milk
  • Coconut milk
  • Coconut water
  • Water

4. Give your smoothie a little something extra.

Spices, seeds, and other various ingredients can make a great addition to any smoothie. Try some of these:

  • Chia seeds - an excellent source of fiber
  • Nut butter - for a little extra protein
  • Apple cider vinegar - aids in weight loss and detoxing the body
  • Cinnamon - helps to regulate blood sugar and lower cholesterol
  • Protein powder - give you smoothie a protein boost

Voila...a perfect smoothie just for you!

What's YOUR favorite smoothie combination?

First, gift your unique view of the world. Instagram is a place where you make and play a role your own lifestyle. create a strategy (that is, define your goals and methods by which you will implement them), and later consistently accept it by regularly publishing the content. Check what photos get the most likes. Instagram users pick illustrations in fresh tones, like lightening filters, preferring blues rather than shades of red. You can apply filters from Instagram, but you can after that use more powerful apps, such as Vsco, Afterlight or Snapseed, in which we will find a lot of great effects and editing options for our photos. The mobile (and free!) relation of Lightroom - one of the best photo supervision programs from the Adobe suite - is with entirely popular. Afterlight is actually quite a simple tool, but it contains every the vital functions and as many as 74 different effects. One of the most fascinating options is emphasize Tone, which allows you to direction in the works the blue color, which gives the photos a cleaner, fresher look. Snapseed, in turn, allows for selective settings in a chosen place of the photo, which works great in situations where we desire to focus the viewer's eyes upon a specific place of the photo. upon the other hand, Lightroom will allow you to precisely accustom yourself the brightness and saturation of the selected color, e.g. by playing in imitation of the blue color slider you can create water and freshen get a accepted turquoise shade. Camera + is plus a great application (only for iOS). It costs $ 2.99, which is abundantly worth investing! It will allow you to get effects similar to professional equipment. This application has been endorsed by times and Wall Street Journal for making concerning all shot look indigenous and great.

I have enjoyed all the BD smoothie recipes., especially with the almond butter. I like a combination of spinach or kale and fruit. I have not liked the texture of the veg protein mix ( it feels gritty in my mouth even if I blend it for a long time). so I use half veggie protein and half whey protein. I like to use one of the smoothies for breakfast.
