Homemade "French Fries"

A great alternative for those times when you are craving french fries, but don't want to go down that unhealthy road.


  • 3 russet potatoes
  • 2 tsp. coconut oil
  • sea salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste


Peel potatoes and cut into strips. Melt coconut oil and toss potato strips into fries to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Put on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 400 degrees until cooked (approximately 30 minutes). Enjoy! Makes 6 servings (1/2 potato per serving).

Tip: For crispier fries, soak raw fries in a bowl of water for 20 minutes. Drain and pat dry before coating in coconut oil.
