I drink this homemade beef bone broth to make sure I get enough iron in my diet.

Ingredients

  • 2 carrot, fresh, organic
  • 2 celery stalk, fresh, organic
  • 1 med. onion, any type, organic
  • 7 garlic, fresh, organic
  • 3 1/2 lbs. bones, beef, grass-fed or pastured, organic
  • 2 bay leaf, organic
  • sea salt, unrefined and pure to taste
  • 2 tbs. vinegar, apple cider, organic, unfiltered, raw
  • 2 c. water, purified

Directions

Chop the carrots, celery, and onion. Smash the garlic cloves. Place all of these in the bottom of a crockpot. Add the beef bones. Tuck in the bay leaves. Sprinkle a little salt and drizzle the ACV over the bones. Cover everything with water (may take more than 2 cups - just make sure everything is covered). Cook on low for 8-10 hours. When it's done cooking, pour the broth through a strainer and discard the solids.

Store in a glass container in the refrigerator. It will look like Jell-O. When you're ready to drink it, scoop a little out and heat it up in a saucepan on the stove (you may need to add a little water).
