This is my "clean" version of my french toast recipe. I haven't figured out the breakdown of fat/proteins/carbs

  • 4 slc. sprouted whole grain bread, from organic grains
  • 2 lrg. egg, omega-3, cage-free, organic
  • 1/4 c. milk, full-fat, raw, grass-fed or pastured cows, organic
  • 1 tbs. coconut sugar, organic
  • 1 tsp. seasoning, Chinese 5 Spice, powdered, organic
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract, organic
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon, ground, organic

mix the coconut sugar, cinnamon and vanilla and then beat the egg and milk mixture together. Soak bread slices to your desired level of moisture -- more well soaked makes it almost like bread pudding when cooked. Spread 1 T of coconut oil in a pan and cook the french toast for a total of 3 minutes on each side - flipping after 1 minute. Garnish with organic strawberries, blueberries and blackberries and serve with pasture butter and organic maple syrup (if you have a serious sweet tooth). This is a sweet french toast so you can eat it just plain as well.
