I love pesto and am always looking for new recipes that put a spin on the classic basil/pine nut combo. Parsley and cilantro (coriander) are very powerful natural green plant foods for detoxing heavy metals out of your body. Toxins are stored in body fat. The fat protects you by keeping the toxins from reaching your vital organs. The more toxins that you expel, the fewer fat stores your body will need and the more fat you will be able to lose.
Soak the seeds and nuts over night to release the enzyme exhibitors.
Process the parsley, cilantro, and olive oil in a food processor until chopped.
Add the garlic, nuts, seeds, salt, and lemon juice, and mix until the mixture is finely blended into a paste.
Store in dark glass jars if possible. Refrigerate or freeze. Enjoy!
