Spelt Baguettes with Herbs

Delicious recipe for spelt baguettes with fresh herbs!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c. flour, spelt, whole-grain, organic
  • 3 3/4 tsp. yeast, active, dry
  • 1 3/4 c. water, purified
  • 1 tbs. honey, raw, unfiltered, organic
  • 1 tbs. coconut oil, raw, extra-virgin, organic
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt, unrefined and pure
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds, raw, unsalted, organic
  • 1/2 c. herbs, fresh, organic

Directions

Preheat oven to 390ºF.

Add sunflower seeds, sea salt, honey, herbs, and coconut oil to warm water.

Add 3-4 cups of spelt flour (with dry yeast added), and mix gently. Bake right away into three small baguettes. Let them rise.

Make deep diagonal slashes across each loaf and bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven.

I cut the loaves into 10 slices, so that makes total of 30 slices. One serving = 2 slices.
