Vegetable Side Dish

This is a way to serve vegetable to those who don't like vegetable


  • 1 whole cabbage
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 10 white mushrooms
  • 1 lrg. onion
  • 1 tbs. coconut oil
  • 2 tbs. spelt flour
  • 1 arrowroot powder
  • 2 c. almond milk
  • sea salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1 c. uncured bacon


Heat the coconut oil and fry the onion till tender and transparent add the mushrooms and continue cooking add the seasoning and bacon than sprinkle the flour and stir add the milk little by little while still stirring, till it comes a thick cream if not creamy add the arrow root (dissolve it in 2tbsp milk before adding it to the pot) Add the vegetable to the sauce. Mix well and try to coat all vegetable without mashing it put the grated cheese and mix again. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top and serve, or bake in the oven before serving. I prefer it not baked If giving it to small children cut veggies into smaller pieces
