Walnut Cumin Burgers

Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner.


  • 2 lbs. beef, ground, free-range or grass-fed, organic
  • 2 egg, omega-3, cage-free, organic
  • 1 tsp. sea salt, unrefined and pure
  • 1 tbs. cumin powder, organic
  • 1/4 c. walnuts, raw, organic
  • 8 tsp. butter, unsalted, organic, raw or unpasteurized, grass-fed/pastured


Beat the eggs in a bowl.
Add the ground beef, salt, cumin and walnuts.
Mix well.
Form into 8 patties. Cook on grill (or other preferred method) until done (meat is gray inside). Top each patty with 1 teaspoon butter, melted on top. Serve and enjoy:)

Recipe adapted from Barbara Doyen's "Back to Protein" cookbook. The original recipe called for curry powder instead of cumin.
