Honey & Lemon Marinade

This marinade can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to a week. Use it for chicken, pork, or salmon. My favorite summer go-to marinade for the grill.


  • 1 lrg. lemon zest
  • 3 tbs. honey, raw
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 fresh thyme
  • 1/2 extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt & black pepper to taste


Mix all the ingredients and pour into a ziplock bag with meat. (Makes for easy clean up) Marinate for 4hours if possible. Instead of thyme, you can use oregano. Sometimes I use both!
