Simple, delicious recipe for halibut!

  • 1 tbs. coconut oil, raw, extra-virgin, organic
  • 2 halibut, fresh, wild-caught
  • 1/2 c. wine, white, organic
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic, fresh, organic
  • 3 c. butter, unsalted, organic, raw or unpasteurized, grass-fed/pastured
  • sea salt, unrefined, & fresh ground pepper, organic to taste
  • 3 tbs. capers, organic
  • 4 tbs. coconut flour, organic

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Sprinkle coconut flour over all sides of halibut.

Heat coconut oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Fry the halibut steaks on all sides until nicely browned but not fully cooked, remove from pan, put on oven safe plate, and then place in oven.

Pour wine into pan and use spatula to scrape browned bits from the bottom. Let wine reduce to almost nothing. Stir in chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon of butter, capers with liquid, sea salt, and pepper. Whisk constantly. While simmering, add in 2 tablespoons of shaved, frozen butter. Let simmer for a minute to mix flavors.

Pour sauce evenly over halibut steaks and serve.
