Italian Seasoning

I'm always running out of 'mixed' spices so I like to have recipes to make them when I can't get out to the store. This is a really good blend I think!


  • 3 tbs. marjoram, dried, organic
  • 2 tbs. oregano, dried, organic
  • 2 tbs. thyme, dried, organic
  • 2 tbs. basil, fresh, organic
  • 1 tbs. sage, dried, organic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. rosemary, dried, organic
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder, organic
  • 1 tsp. sea salt, unrefined and pure


Mix well and put in a jar with tight lid. I always label my homemade spices so I don't forget which is which. :)

I left the sea salt out of the Italian Seasoning mix this time. I think that works better since the sea salt is a bit different than regular salt. Plus, I like to add salt each time so I know how much I'm using.

This makes about 1/2 cup.

You can add or take away whichever spices you'd like
