My kids love this warm with ice cream or a large tablespoon of Greek yogurt!
Combine oats, butter, and coconut sugar. Mix well to make a crumble. Put half of the crumble on the bottom of a small to medium cake pan (save the other half for the top).
Spread apple slices evenly on top of the crumble. Mix water, honey, arrowroot, and vanilla in a pot. Bring to a boil. Pour mixture over the apples evenly. Top with the other half of the crumble, and sprinkle with almonds (optional). Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
