Roasted Onions with Anise

Super EASY and low-cal. Can add fresh herbs instead of the anise, if desired. I have used fresh basil and fresh thyme.........both are delicious.

Ingredients

  • 6 med. onion, yellow, organic
  • 6 clove garlic, fresh, organic
  • 2 tsp. olive oil, extra virgin, unrefined and unfiltered, organic
  • 1 tsp. sea salt, unrefined and pure
  • 1/2 tsp. anise, seed, organic

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toss together all ingredients in a large bowl - gently, so as not to break up the onions to much. Transfer onions to a baking pan (lined with parchment paper) and roast, covered, for about 30 minutes. Uncover the onions and stir gently and roast until browned - about another 30 minutes.
