I was wanting something warm and sweet, but quick to make and came up with this.
cinnamon to taste
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. coconut syrup or nectar
2 tbsp. almond butter
1 tsp. coconut oil
1 med. red apple
1/4 c. raisins
Add the coconut oil to a small skillet and turn on medium heat. While the oil is heating, cut the apple into chunks. (I peel my apple, but you don't have to.) Add the apples, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla, and coconut nectar to the pan and stir it all up making sure the apples and raisins get coated with the oil, cinnamon, and nectar. Cover the pan and let simmer until the apples are soft. Remove from the pan and drizzle nut butter on top and enjoy! Kid tested and approved :)
