Traditional Texas Chili

You can make this as hot or mild as you like.

Ingredients

    sea salt to taste

    2 lbs. ground beef

    1 med. onion

    2 garlic

    1/2 tsp. oregano, ground, organic

    1 tsp. ground cumin

    3 tbsp. chili powder

    14 oz. stewed tomatoes, canned

    1 lbs. tomato

    2 c. water

    1 med. green bell pepper

    2 jalapeno pepper

Directions

Brown ground beef in a large pot or skillet. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Sear together, then add oregano, cumin, chili powder, stewed and diced tomatoes, and hot water. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Add diced green pepper and diced jalapenos. Salt to taste and cook for 15 minutes.
