Raw spinach mixed with fresh basil about 2/3 spinach 1/3 basil. The fresh basil leaf as a green is so flavorful and surprisingly refreshing.

    sea salt to taste

    1 spinach

    1 fresh basil

    1/4 c. dried fruit

    1 oz. nuts and seeds

2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

The basic salad is 2/3 spinach to 1/3 fresh basil. Then add any combination of fruit, nut and cheese. If desired a meat is also very tasty. The basil adds enough flavor that the olive oil and salt are perfect seasonings. I sometimes will add pepper to taste, especially if chicken or beef strips are added to make it a main course rather than a side dish.
