Sauteed Cinnamon Apples with Almond Butter

Breakfast, snack, dessert - this tasty dish is perfect any time of day!

Ingredients

    1 med. red apple

    cinnamon to taste

    3 tbsp. water

    2 tbsp. almond butter

    1 tbsp. almond milk

Directions

Core and dice the apple (peeled or unpeeled – it’s up to you).

Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sprinkle with cinnamon, and add water. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender (not mushy, though).

When the apples are cooked to your liking, move all of the contents of the saucepan to a bowl. Add almond butter immediately so the hot apples will help to melt the almond butter. Add a splash of almond milk to make the almond butter easier to stir. Stir to mix well, until everything is fully combined.
