This is a wonderful dish for spring when Asparugus is so fresh at the market
1 bch. asparagus
3 garlic
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp. butter
sea salt & black pepper to taste
2 oz. almonds
Melt butter over medium high heat, add EVOO, add minced garlic cloves, sautee' until tender but do not brown, add asparagus, stir gently and incorporated the butter, garlic and EVOO all over aspargus until crisp tender about 10 minutes, add lid and steam for 5 additional minutes, transfer to large bowl, cut up in bite size pieces, then sprinkle toasted almonds on top....Yummy!
