Roasted Garlic and Red Pepper Hummus

A quick and easy hummus recipe that tastes great!

Ingredients

    1 tsp. sea salt

    2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

    1/2 lemon

    16 oz. cooked chickpeas

    2 tbsp. tahini

    1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes

    1/2 med. red bell pepper

    4 clove garlic

Directions

Roast garlic and red bell pepper under broiler with a little olive oil until slightly charred.

Place garlic and red bell pepper in blender. Add chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, and sea salt, blending after each ingredient. Puree until smooth.

*Omit the Red Pepper Flakes for a mild flavor... or increase the amount for a spicier taste.

**As a vegetarian, one serving would be 1 protein and 1 fat.
