Potatoes Boulangères

Delicious potato oven dish, that's easy to make! Goes perfectly with sunday roast or christmas dinner.


    2 med. white or gold potatoes

    1/2 yellow onion

    3 fresh parsley

    8 fl oz. chicken stock

    1 pinch sea salt


  1. Preheat your oven to 250 C
  2. Grease a small shallow roasting tin (or a cake tin will work as well)
  3. Put a layer of potato slices on bottom of the tin.
  4. Follow with a few slices of onion and some parsley.
  5. Add a little bit of salt. (not too much, as stock is salty too)
  6. Repeat and finish with potatoes on top.
  7. Add stock to the dish. To get correct amount of stock: press on potatoes with your clean (!) flat hand . Then pour in stock until stock touches the palm of you hand. This should normally be about a half pint, when using these amounts of ingredients.
  8. Place dish in the oven and cook for about 20-25 minutes.
