It is a great mix of sweet and sour. It reminds me of the sweet and sour pork I would get from my local chinese food place.
4 pork chop
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1/4 c. beef broth
1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
6 slc. shallots
1 1/2 tsp. coconut sugar
1 tbsp. honey, raw
Heat oil in a skillet over med heat on stove top. Cook pork chops until browned then remove to a plate.( be sure the pork chops are done at this point). In the same pan brown shallots over med heat once shallots are browned add broth, balsamic vinegar, and coconut sugar to pan. Cook over med heat until sauce thickens. Pour reduction over pork chops. The recipe calls for a drizzle of honey over all the pork chops. I save the carbs and leave it off. I make a side of quinoa and drizzle some of the reduction over it. Super yummy!
Note: depending on the size of pork chop the protein will change. The ones I get are usually around 3-4 oz once cooked.
