Lebanese Chicken Tawook

I was craving the chicken from my favorite Lebanese restaurant (which happens to be 1,200 miles from where I live now) so I went on a hunt for a similar recipe. This is the closest I could find. It's delicious with homemade garlic sauce. Enjoy!


    6 chicken breast

    3 garlic

    1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil

    1 lemon

    1 tbsp. paprika

    6 oz. tomato paste

    2 tbsp. lemon zest

    1 tsp. sea salt

    2 tsp. black pepper


  1. Cut chicken breasts into pieces for skewers.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients together to make a marinade.
  3. Add chicken to marinade, mix well and refrigerate in a non-reactive container from 2-8 hours.
  4. Thread chicken on skewers and grill or cook under a broiler.
