My most favorite...MOST favorite...smoothie! Just hits all the right taste buds and is very filling! Try it...I bet you'll love it! My husband keeps walking by and drinking mine. Will have to hide somewhere when I make it tomorrow or just make him some too. lol :)

Ingredients

    1/2 tsp. almond extract

    1/2 c. cooked oatmeal

    1 tbsp. raisins

1 scp. Spring of Life Plant-Based Protein Powder, vanilla

    1/2 med. frozen banana

    3 ice

    stevia to taste

    1 c. homemade coconut milk

    1/4 c. cottage cheese

    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Ok, this is my new favorite smoothie! I always make several portions of oatmeal at a time and put the extra in the refrigerator in a closed container. It's so nice to have it already prepared when I want it again in a day or so. Well, the other day I was getting tired of all fruit smoothies and happened to see my container of already made oatmeal in the fridge and I thought...hmmmmmm....So, I plopped some into the blender and wow...it's SO creamy and delicious!!

I add things to the blender in a certain order. Silly maybe but it works for me.

To the blender I add: Coconut milk, cottage cheese, protein powder if I use it (I DON'T always), vanilla and almond extracts, stevia, the cooked and chilled oatmeal, and the raisins. Blend well. You'll see the oatmeal just totally blend up so nice and smooth!

Then I add the frozen banana pieces and a few cubes of ice. Blend well again, taste and adjust sweetness etc if needed.

Pour into a nice tall glass, take a sip and smile! Isn't that goooood?! :) I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I do!
