This Italian beef pulls apart and is perfect with fresh vegetables or to make into little sandwiches.
3 lbs. beef chuck roast
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. fresh basil
2 bay leaf
1 1/2 tbsp. fresh oregano
1 tbsp. red pepper flakes
2 clove garlic
sea salt & black pepper to taste
Place a 2-5 pound roast in the crockpot. Mix all the seasonings in the water and pour over the meat. Set the crockpot on high, and let cook for at least 6 hours. The longer the better!
