Any side dish with honey, butter, and cinnamon is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at your next cookout! As an added bonus, Isabel demonstrates how to make a “tinfoil tent” that makes for perfectly cooked sweet potato wedges.

    3 med. sweet potato

    1/4 c. butter

    2 tbsp. honey, raw

    2 tsp. cinnamon

    1/2 tsp. nutmeg

    sea salt to taste

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Cut sweet potatoes into ¾-inch wedges.

Place potato wedges on a grill pan, cover loosely with aluminum foil (to create a “tent”) and place on heated grill for 8-10 minutes.

While potatoes are cooking, combine melted butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt in a large bowl.

Once potatoes are barely fork tender, uncover and transfer them to a plate or area of the grill that isn’t over heat. Coat each wedge with honey butter mixture using a brush.

Grill wedges, uncovered, for an additional 4-5 minutes on each side, until tender and browned.
