Hearty Sandwich Bread

If you love the dense texture of whole grain bread, this loaf is sure to please.


    1 tbsp. psyllium husks, organic

    1 tbsp. caraway seeds

    6 egg

    1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

    2 tsp. coconut oil

    2 tbsp. canned coconut milk

    2 tsp. maple syrup

    1/2 c. coconut flour

    1/2 c. ground flax seeds

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1/2 tsp. sea salt

    1 tsp. tapioca flour

    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, organic


Preheat oven to 325ºF. Grease the bottom of an 8x4 loaf pan or line with greased parchment paper. It is very important to use the correct pan size to achieve proper height (about 3 inches).

In a small bowl, combine the dry ingredients (coconut flour, ground flaxseed, baking soda, sea salt, tapioca flour, cream of tartar, psyllium husk powder, ground caraway seeds).

In a medium bowl, beat the wet ingredients (eggs, apple cider vinegar, melted coconut oil, coconut milk, maple syrup).

Stir dry ingredients into wet to combine. The batter will be thick and sticky, like oatmeal.

Spread into pan. Transfer to oven and bake 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean and loaf is golden.

Let cool on a wire rack. When completely cool, store in an airtight container.
