Healthy Banana Bread

I found this recipe on the Fast Paleo Recipe site. It looks delicious and I love that it include both Coconut Oil and Apple Cider Vinegar which are both extremely healthy for you!


  • 1/2 c. walnuts
  • 2 c. almond meal
  • 2 banana
  • 3 egg
  • 3 tbs. coconut oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tbs. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tbs. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbs. honey, raw


Mash the banana well Mix all ingredients (except the apple cider vinegar and baking soda) together in a mixing bowl until well-blended

Add the baking soda, do not mix Add the apple cider vinegar

The mixture will bubble up (think volcano science project in school) Mix well Pour into greased baking dish

Top with crushed nuts Drizzle the honey over the top

Bake at 375 for approximately 25 minutes or until a knife, when inserted in the center of the loaf, comes out clean

(Time depends on depth of bread loaf- can also be made into muffins or baked in a cake pan… after the first 10 minutes or so check the banana bread every few minutes to ensure that it is not overcooked)

Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before cutting
