Warm, caffeine-free and calorie-free comfort drink.
4 c. water
4 pce. fresh ginger
4 dsh. cinnamon
4 dsh. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
4 drp. liquid stevia
canned coconut milk to taste
Cut four slices of the fresh ginger root. Add to a skillet with one quart/liter of water. Bring to boiling point. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and Stevia. Let simmer for a couple of minutes. Pour into your favorite tea cup and enjoy with or without added cold coconut milk. This recipe is the way I like it, but more or less of everything can of course be added! I can't have caffeine, so anything caffeine free that tastes a little spicy is welcome in my kitchen.
