This hummus is oil free, making it fat-free so you can save your fat count for something else! You can adjust jalapeno, cumin & garlic up or down to suite taste; for a smoother hummus add more reserved bean liquid. 1 serving is less than 1/2 a carb.
15 oz. cooked chickpeas
4 tbsp. jalapeno pepper
1/2 ground cumin
3 clove garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
In a food processor, combine drained garbanzo beans, jalapeno, cumin, garlic, lemon juice & 2 Tbsp. of the reserved bean liquid. Blend till smooth. Add more reserved bean liquid for a smoother dip, if desired. Serve with raw veggies, crackers, can also be used as a spread on a sandwich. NOTE: 1 serving is less than 1/2 a carb.
