Easy one skillet supper.
12 oz. brown rice pasta
1 lbs. ground turkey
2 tbsp. coconut oil
24 oz. tomato sauce
36 fl oz. water
Brown ground turkey in a large skillet, then drain.
Pour in pasta sauce, then using jar pasta sauce was in, add 1 1/2 jars of water to skillet. This would total 36 ounces of water.
Add oil - (optional if you don't need any fats)
Bring to a boil and add pasta. Turn the burner down low, cover and simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Remove lid and continue cooking until excess liquid is gone.
I did not precook the pasta.
Can be made with any meat even leftovers. I've made it this way for years, but this is the first time with all organic ingredients. My husband loved it so much he had 3 helpings! This is just a basic recipe - I make it different every time depending on what ingredients I have on hand. Great add in's would be sliced black olives, garlic, organic cheese.
If you make this recipe could you let us know what you did differently - always looking for new ideas.
