All the elements of cabbage rolls without the effort of making the rolls. Mmmm... warm, comforting, delicious stew.
1 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. onion
1 clove garlic
4 c. stewed tomatoes, canned
1 c. tomato sauce
1/2 c. cauliflower
1 med. cabbage
1 bay leaf
sea salt & black pepper to taste
In a skillet, saute ground beef, chopped onion and garlic until beef is no longer pink and onions are translucent. Add rest of ingredients, mixing well.
Cover and simmer for one hour. Add water, if necessary. Remove bay leaf before serving.
*The cauliflower "rice" can be left out if preferred.
