Crunchy sweet breakfast or snack!
4 c. old-fashioned oats
1 c. almonds
1 c. walnuts
1/4 c. wheat germ, organic
1/4 c. ground flax seeds
1/4 c. sunflower seeds
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. honey, raw
1/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. shredded coconut
3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Preheat oven to 300°F. In a large bowl, mix oats, nuts, wheat germ, flax seed, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, raisins, and coconut. Toss to mix. In a sauce pan, over low heat, melt butter and olive oil. Add honey, and stir to blend. Pour honey mixture over oat mixture, and stir to blend. Spread mixture onto 2 baking sheets. I line them with parchment. Bake granola until golden, about 20-25 minutes. Cool to room temperature, and store in airtight container.
