Coconut Maple Eggnog

Mass-produced eggnog is typically known as an unhealthy holiday obsession, full of inflammatory carrageenan, preservatives, and excess sugar. This year, raise your glass to health and happiness with this healthified homemade eggnog!


    1/2 tsp. coconut sugar

    4 egg yolk

    2 tsp. cinnamon

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    1/3 c. maple syrup

    2 c. canned coconut milk

    2 c. homemade coconut milk

    1 tsp. nutmeg

    maple syrup to taste


Pour a thin layer of maple syrup into a shallow dish. Coat the rim of 4 glasses with maple syrup by turning them over and having the glasses kiss the plate of maple syrup. Do the same thing with a shallow bowl of coconut sugar so each glass is rimmed with maple syrup and coconut sugar.

In a blender or food processor, process all the eggnog ingredients, except for the nutmeg, on high speed for 2 minutes.

Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve chilled.
