Cinnamon Nut Butter Smoothie

Rich, creamy, cold, and blended drink.


    1 med. frozen banana

    2 tbsp. nut butter

    1 c. almond milk

    1 tsp. cinnamon


Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. You may find that you need more almond milk to get it to blend. This is a great post-workout drink in my opinion. It comes out very rich and creamy due to the frozen banana. And the nut butter adds a certain something that when coupled with the blended banana and cinnamon is reminiscent of eggnog. It's not the same at all, but it has a rich creaminess like eggnog, and the cinnamon makes it even more like it.

*To freeze bananas, I recommend that you slice them up and put them in a Ziploc baggy on a paper plate. The plate is only so that the pieces of banana will settle more flat-like so that they will be easier to pull out once frozen. The Ziploc is to keep them from getting freezer burn. You can do this a night in advance. You could also freeze several at a time. I have found that 15 slices/rounds is the same as one large banana.
