Homemade Nutella!
1 c. hazelnuts
3 tbsp. cacao powder
stevia to taste
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. almond milk
1 pinch sea salt
These measurements are for a pretty small batch, but feel free to double, triple, etc.
Place hazelnuts in a blender or food processor. Blend and pulse for 10 minutes, scraping sides as necessary, until a coarse butter has formed. Keep at it, it will happen!
Add remaining ingredients (cacao powder, stevia, vanilla, cinnamon, sea salt, and almond milk). Continue blending for another minute or two. Taste it, and adjust ingredients as needed. To thicken, add more nuts. To thin, add more almond milk. To sweeten, add more stevia.
Keep blending and tweaking until it is just right. Store in covered container in the fridge.
These measurements yielded 1 cup of finished product - approximately 8 servings, 2 tablespoons each.
