This is a healthy version of chicken strips that my mom used to make us. We always would dip them in honey, so I suggest trying them with raw honey!
1 tsp. coconut oil
3 chicken breast, skin-on
1 1/2 c. breadcrumbs, made from gluten-free bread
1 egg
2 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. fresh basil
1 tbsp. fresh oregano
1 tsp. thyme, ground, organic
1 tsp. dried marjoram
1 dsh. sea salt
1 tsp. black pepper
First cut the chicken breasts into strips and nuggets. Whisk the egg in a bowl and set aside. Mix the spices and breadcrumbs on a plate and set next to egg bowl. Prep chicken strips by first dipping them into egg and then roll them in the breadcrumb mixture. Heat coconut oil and a pan and fry the chicken until golden. Enjoy the chicken strips with honey! If you want a kick, mix raw honey with an organic low sodium chili sauce.
