I've been making this for at least 35 years with no complaints. If you love Caesar, give this a try.
1 head romaine lettuce
2 oz. anchovies, in organic olive oil
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. mustard seed, ground
1 tsp. red wine vinegar
2 clove garlic
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. parmesan cheese
1/2 c. sprouted whole grain croutons
1 egg
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Wash lettuce, and break into bite size pieces. Set aside to drain until ready to serve. Finely chop anchovies and garlic, and place in a wooden bowl. Add olive oil, and stir to blend well. Add remaining ingredients except egg, cheese, and croutons. Let stand till ready to serve. Add lettuce and toss well. Add coddled egg, croutons, and cheese and toss well. Serve and enjoy. Add more lemon if you want. Ground pepper can also be added if you or your guests like.
