Boston Baked Beans

Boston Baked Beans Done BD Style. I Never Have Left-overs!


    4 can canned white beans

    1 sweet onion

    2 clove garlic

    3 uncured bacon

    3/4 c. tomato paste

    1/4 c. coconut sugar

    2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce

    1 tbsp. yellow mustard

    1/2 tsp. black pepper

    1/2 c. molasses, organic


  1. Pre-heat oven to 375*
  2. Medium cook bacon on a medium skillet on stove top.
  3. Dice onion and garlic.
  4. Remove bacon from pan and set aside.
  5. Cook onion and garlic in bacon grease to just soft, lightly tender.
  6. Rinse beans.
  7. Mix beans, onions, garlic, ketchup or tomato paste, mustard, pepper and molasses together in a large mixing bowl.
  8. Pour mixture in an oven safe casserole dish.
  9. Add bacon strips on top.
  10. Bake, covered in oven at 375* for 1 hour to 1 hr and a 1/2.
  11. Let sit covered for 10 min.
  12. Discard or chop bacon slices and add to beans.

  13. I have tried to edit to ADD 1/2 cup organic, unsulphured blackstrap molasses to ingredient list but it is not saving*

3 servings of protein for entire side dish will be added if bacon strips are chopped and mixed with beans
