Easy to make, satisfying, and healthy. This breakfast almost seems like a dessert!
1 tsp. coconut sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 oz. pecans
1 Gala apple
1 c. water
1/2 c. old-fashioned oats
Combine water and apple pieces in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add oats to the pot once the water is boiling. Reduce heat, and let simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring often. Cover and let stand for 1 minute. Stir in stevia, cinnamon, and nutmeg to taste. Sprinkle pecan pieces over the top, and enjoy!
Wonderful if your tummy is upset. I eat this for dinner if I am not feeling well.
*Not a fan of apples? Stir banana slices into the cooked oatmeal instead (do not boil). *Use coconut sugar in place of stevia for a bowl of oatmeal that tastes like the classic brown sugar and cinnamon.
