Wilted greens with slivered almonds & sesame seeds in a lemon citrus dressing makes a quick & easy snack or side.


    2 c. collard greens

    1 oz. slivered almonds

    1 tsp. coconut oil

    1/2 lemon

    1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil

    sea salt to taste


In a small nonstick skillet, melt the coconut oil over low heat. Wash the greens and trim away large stems then cut into ribbons. Place the greens in the oil adding 1 TBSP water, cover and let wilt for 2-3 minutes. Add the almonds, cover and remove from heat. Meanwhile whisk the lemon juice, olive oil & salt in a small container for dressing.
