5 Delicious Burger Recipes

If you're anything like most Americans, one of your favorite comfort foods is a juicy burger. Many people think of fast food restaurants for burgers, but higher-end restaurants are now offering fancier versions of this classic grilled dish (although at a much higher price). If you want to save money and eat healthier, why not make your own burgers at home?

Here are some general guidelines for making healthy burgers at home:

  1. Choose grass-fed ground beef or free-range ground poultry as the meat.
  2. Swap almond flour or coconut flour for breadcrumbs.
  3. Add fresh herbs and veggies to the mix for a boost of nutrition.
  4. Go easy on the cheese - most of the recipes listed below don't even need it!
  5. Skip the bun, and eat your burger with a knife and fork instead (less mess!).

When you grill up one of these burgers, you can enjoy a delicious meal that costs less, is better for you, and is incredibly flavorful!
