A simple side to accompany any dish! I plan to serve this (by doubling the recipe) for the holidays.

Ingredients

1 1/2 - 2 pounds brussels sprouts
1 tablespoon extra-virgin organic olive oil
Sea Salt
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

On a rimmed baking sheet, toss brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved length-wise, with olive oil; season with sea salt.

Roast until brussels sprouts are browned in spots and tender when pierced with a knife, 15 minutes or so, stirring halfway through.

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup and 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more, if desired).

Drizzle brussels sprouts with maple syrup mixture, stir to coat, and roast another minute or two.
