A healthy alternative to ice cream or sugary ice blocks for all the family. It was created for my grandchildren (ititially) because, although we always had fresh fruit to hand, they wanted Ice blocks! It was and remains a huge hit with everyone of us.

Ingredients

3 cups chopped soft fruit e.g. banana, mango, pineapple, peach
2 tablespoons Low fat Greek Yoghurt
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Place all ingredients in blender, pour into ice block moulds and freeze. Because all the natural fibre is still there the ice blocks do not freeze rock-hard, there is no added sugar and the yoghurt simply adds a creamy texture. If you like Weiss bars simply put a tablespoon of light sour cream into the mould, lay it on it's side and freeze that first, then fill with the fruit mixture and re-freeze, it will come out of the mould with the cream down one side and is delicious. The protein, carbs and fat content will vary according to your choice of fruit and dairy.
