This is quick, easy, versatile, loaded with super ingredients and so flavorful! When I put this recipe onto my journal on a different site, each serving is only about 250 calories.

  • 12 oz. chicken breast, skin-on, organic, free-range
  • 5 garlic, fresh, organic
  • 1/2 c. green onion, fresh, organic
  • 2 tbs. coconut oil, raw, extra-virgin, organic
  • 1 chili pepper, jalapeno, fresh, organic
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce, wheat-free, organic
  • 1 tsp. coconut sugar, organic
  • 1 tsp. vinegar, apple cider, organic, unfiltered, raw
  • 2 c. bean sprouts, fresh, organic
  • 1 bch. basil, fresh, organic
  • 1 tsp. ginger, fresh, organic

Add oil into a heated wok or skillet, follow by chopped garlic and shallots.

Stir fry the garlic and shallots until aromatic, then add the chicken meat into the wok. Use the spatula to quickly stir-fry the chicken meat.

When the chicken meat changes color, toss in the chili, vegetables and the seasonings (ginger, vinegar, coconut sugar, and soy sauce) and continue to stir-fry.

Add in the basil leaves and do a few quick stirs until the basil leaves are wilted and you smell the exotic fragrance of the basil leaves. Sprinkle pepper into the dish, do a final stir.

Notes: I pre-steamed my green beans prior to adding them to the skillet since I don't like them to be very crunchy. If you don't like spicy foods then take out the seeds from the chili pepper, otherwise chop them up with the pepper. Be generous with the basil.... Its the main flavor in this dish!
