I started the Beyond Diet Program 15 months ago and I am proud to say that I have now taken off 100 Pounds! I feel wonderful! Thank you Isabel!!! Just 20 more to go and I will hit my goal weight :-)
Hi Everyone I am embark in this adventure Monday Memorial Day of all days what was I thinking any way I was wondering if any of you ladies and gents have struggled with thyroid issues and if you have lost a significant amount of weight on this program I'm curious cause I literally have tried just about every diet out there so any support or advice you give would be much appreciated Kelly
At age 67, I recently retired from over 40 years of teaching. Now I have time for myself and am able to focus on getting to a healthier weight. After my hysterectomy in 1998, my weight ballooned from about 180 to 215. In 2001, I moved to Hong Kong where I had to do more walking and my weight hovered between 198 and 205. Moving back to the states at the high end of that, I joined a diet group and went down to 195 where I have been stuck. After I retired in February, I started going to the Y for a strenuous water aerobics 3 times a week as well as doing some weight training and cardio on some other days. The weight was not coming off, so I tried a plant based smoothie diet was ineffective and left me hungry. Finally, I remembered that I had purchased this plan about a year ago but never really tried it, so here I am now, ready, willing and able. Getting down to 159 would be a dream come true. Any advice would be appreciated! Elaine
Started healthy eating about acweek ago. Feel great and haven't had any processed food since i started. Wondering what some quick and simple snack and lunch choices are in the protein and carb area?
Hello Everyone,
I am new to Beyond Diet. I have been diagnosed with high blood sugar (beyond limit) just recently and was told by my Dr. that if I don't change my eating habits I will become diabetic. I am hoping that learning how to eat healthy will help me reduce high blood sugar and become healthier!
I wish success to everyone trying to get healthy !

After joining, I was surprised to learn I have the protein type metabolism. Although protein is available in many plant based foods, my body needed more. I also needed to learn how to balance the amount of protein, carb and fat intake necessary not only to be lean, but healthy. I think this program is a great fit for me because of the information I previously learned from the juicing program, which includes eliminating "fake" processed foods, and reaching for organic, raw foods goes hand and hand with the BD program. My goals are 1.) to be healthy, 2.) to have more energy, and 3.) to be lean (OK, I am a little vain). Though I am only a few days into it, I am excited at the changes I already feel. It just feels like I am eating a lot, and I don't feel hungry or crave sweets as I had while juicing and fruit and veggie smoothie-ing!
I recently completed a juicing detox program which made me feel great! Initially I had more energy as well as noticed the health benefits of added vitamins and minerals in my diet. Watching the Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead documentary, convinced me to be against processed foods and animal based proteins. After several months of sticking with juicing and fruit/veggie smoothies, I found I was feeling hungry and regained the weight that I lost. I needed to do more research. I looked into the Beyond Diet program and thought I would give it a try.
I'm feeling like I don't want to have to work too hard for my food. Quick and easy is what I need.
Has everyone seen the new revised format in the Recipe Section? One new feature is that we can add a recipe to our Journal for any meal/snack we wish.
I feel like I keep going around in circles with the website. I think I will like the diet if I can ever get my hands on the core of it. I am going to go ahead and order the Hard Copy. If I can read it in chronological order maybe I will better understand how to begin.
Today I have lost 5lbs!!!! I am so excited, still having bloating issues, sadly. :( I do seem to be sleeping better. Day 12 of beyond edge.
This has been my first week on my VERY restricted diet. I am basically living off of salad now. It's a little frustrating but I decided to look at the benefits of lowering my blood sugar vs. bemoaning all of the things I am having to give up. I feel like I will have much better success if I have a positive attitude about it. Three weeks really focusing on eating healthfully and I have only lost 5 lbs. but I am determined to keep going with it. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend :)
Happy Friday everyone!
I don't know about you, but I plan on getting some good ole BBQ. The Healthy way of course.
Got my annual bloodwork results back. Still good, a smidge higher on cholesterol than I want...rethinking some of my protein choices, and determined to get the rest of the extra pounds off.
Down to 134 lbs. Started at 147lbs and 19 left to go! I am so happy I feel a little teary today that I figured out what my body needs. Paying for the extra program and the time was such a small cost, it's worth a million to how I feel today!
I haven't posted anything in a while and I thought I would update my account. I have had a tremendous amount of stress, but luckily it hasn't made me gain weight. :D
Mom had to have a major surgery on her intestines and colon and is in a care center for her needs, but it is only temporary. She has also reached her goal weight and the Dr.s don't want her losing any more for now. When she is done healing she can lose another 20 pounds if she chooses, but her skin is so loose she wants to let it catch up before then, so she can see what her new body will really look like. She looks amazing to me, but I agree she needs to wait for a while before trying to lose anymore.
I got food poisoning and have been ill for a couple of weeks from that, but I am on the mend and things are getting better. I know that my weight is going to improve over the summer, I have new additional support from new friends in my life and I am feeling great. I haven't lost anymore yet, but that's ok.
Food for thoughts: This week in my kitchen, it was a quest for spice blends!! Spices and herbs have medicinal properties and it is important to widen our taste buds!! While exploring this natural medicinal cabinet in my kitchen I discovered about MSG!! I know what MSG does but I didn't know it's natural source!! Well I found that originaly it was extracted from seaweeds (kombu). I while back I started to use seaweeds in my cooking and baking just to add extra benifits to help my husband's health!! The trick of the day put some seaweeds in your Spice blends and also a little coconut sugar!! Why coconut sugar?? It will balance the bitter taste and also help in caramelizing your meats on the grill !! So have a great weekend spicing up your health and lives!!
